Girl Scouts gives Hispanic/Latino families their first camping experience

group2web

Thanks to funding from State Farm, Toledo Community Foundation, and ProMedica, as well as program support from Adelante, Boy Scouts, ProMedica-Harbor Behavioral Healthcare, and 4-H, twenty four Toledo girls and their families enjoyed their first opportunity to camp during Vive tu Vida Camp at Girl Scout Camp Libbey from June 28-30, 2016.

Girls build confidence and face fears on high-adventure courses, like the climbing wall, and develop discipline, mental focus, and persistence through archery.

Girls and their families participate in traditional Girl Scout camp activities including flag ceremonies, cook outs, camp songs, and games.
