2024 Extended Cookie Program

To assist girls, troops, and council in meeting their goals and be able to continue funding awesome Girl Scout adventures in the coming year, we are extending the 2024 cookie program through Thursday, April 11, with booths and online sales ending Monday, April 8.
Girl Scouts and troops will have opportunities to participate in booths, Cookie Share promotions, and special events during this extension. Troops may also opt to close out the season on March 22 as previously scheduled. Troop cookie managers will receive a form in Smart Cookie; please complete that by midnight on March 22 to indicate your intention. Either way, all troops must submit rewards on March 22.
During the extended season, there will be increased troop proceeds ($2.50/package!), new booth opportunities, a “Double Your Donation” Cookie Share promotion, and a few special events (details to follow).
FAQs
For all troops: The reward submission deadline will remain on March 22. This ensures that rewards will arrive on time and troops that are finished aren’t impacted.
- Digital Cookie will remain open through April 8 for shipped & donated orders, as well as in-hand payments.
- Council booths will be extended; we are connecting with partners now.
- Kroger, Walmart, and Sam’s Club will not be included in the extension.
- Troop or service unit booth extensions are encouraged.
- Booth approval and sign-up process will stay the same; troops should continue to use Smart Cookies.
- The council will offer a “Double Your Donation” promotion during the extension, allowing one additional package to be donated for every donation purchased through Council Cookie Share. Note: Troops will receive credit for the purchased package only.
- We have all cookie varieties in stock and available, including limited quantities of Caramel Chocolate Chip in each region.
- Most cupboards will remain open; the cupboard map will be updated soon to reflect availability.
- The ordering process for cookies will be the same; troops should use Smart Cookies to place orders by Monday at noon. Cupboards may be able to accept late orders; in these instances, volunteers should contact the cupboard directly.
- We are no longer accepting cases to be swapped for other varieties.
- We will announce opportunities for troops to participate in new cookie events as they are confirmed.
- ACH withdrawals:
- Troops that opt to wrap up as of March 22 will have the full withdrawal on April 3 to close out their program.
Troops that continue into April will have a withdrawal of 50% of council proceeds on April 3, and the remaining balance will be withdrawn on April 17.
- The additional proceeds earned for this opportunity and the previous cupboard incentive will be uploaded into Smart Cookies; troops will be notified of their specific proceeds.
- With the extension, no further reconciliation will be required in Smart Cookies in order to close out the program. Troops may use Smart Cookies to track orders as they see fit during this time.
- Should a troop still have a financial concern at the end of this extension, please complete the paperwork by Thursday, April 11.
