Dr. Berhan, a well-respected and successful scientist in mechanical engineering, uses her position, her expertise, and her passion to broaden participation of women and all underrepresented communities in STEM. As an associate dean at the University of Toledo, she leads efforts to foster inclusiveness, equity, and respect among students, faculty, and staff and serves as a liaison with the community to energize efforts to broaden participation in engineering.

Wendy’s dynamic leadership as President & CEO of United Way of Greater Toledo has brought together private, nonprofit, and public sectors around a new approach to entrenched social challenges, focusing on results-based accountability. Described as a fearless advocate and a catalyzing leader, she develops collaborative approaches to problem solving, energizing partners around shared values of service and community.
Alicia Wagner | Fowl & Fodder Downtown | Leadership
Alicia tirelessly gives her own time, talent, treasure, and influence to help our most vulnerable neighbors—especially women—live up to their full potential. Earlier this year, she turned her restaurant Fowl and Fodder Downtown into a market and meal delivery service to make sure no family went without basic needs and quality food during the pandemic. Alicia constantly speaks out against social, gender and economic injustice, seeking to create a world where dignity, health and independence is available to all.
