    Initial Order Cookie Delivery

Initial order cookie orders will need to be picked up during the initial order delivery between February 20 - 26, 2026, from a selected location and timeslot of your choice. These times will need to be chosen when your troop's initial order is submitted in Smart Cookies. If your service unit hosts a delivery, contact your service unit cookie coordinator or delivery manager for more details.

    Keeping the Cookie Momentum

Once your initial orders are placed, girls can continue to share their Digital Cookie links, collect paper card orders, and go door-to-door while they wait for cookies to arrive. These cookies can be fulfilled later than from your troop extras or a cookie cupboard. This is also a great time to prepare the girls for cookie deliveries and upcoming booths. Work on those pitches, make some great signs, and prepare for the fun! Be on the lookout for our mystery reward reveal announcement in your inbox on February 3!

    Cookies in Hand Phase

We enter the Cookies in Hand phase once cookies are received during pickup week. This is when cookies are made available directly to customers through various methods, including cookie booths, cookie stands, drive-thrus, walkabouts, and more! This phase is the program's last phase and ends on the last day, March 29, 2026.

Girl Scout Membership Reward FAQ toggle arrow

We heard your feedback! New for the 2026 Cookie Season: when a Girl Scout sells 36 packages of cookies, she’ll earn a free Girl Scout membership for the 2027 Girl Scout membership year.

If a troop or girl opts out of rewards, does the free membership reward still apply or is it included in the opt-out?

  • Even if a troop opts out of all other rewards, the free membership reward will still be awarded to the Girl Scout who earns it and is not part of the opt-out program.

If girls are graduating seniors, can they use it toward an adult membership or their Lifetime membership?

  • Yes, graduating seniors can use the membership reward toward an adult or Lifetime membership, allowing them to continue their Girl Scout journey.

Can the membership reward be transferred to another girl if an earner is not returning in the fall?

  • No, the membership reward cannot be transferred to another Girl Scout. It is awarded only to the girl who earns it.

What will the redemption process look like? Will renewal be automatic or will caregivers have to renew for MY27?

  • Renewal will be required. Registration for membership year 2027 will not be automatic, the exact process is still being finalized. Additional details will be provided before renewal begins in April.

Do girls have to be in the troop at the start of cookie program or if they join part way thru and still sell 36 packages, can they also earn it?

  • Girls who join the troop partway through the cookie program can still earn the free membership reward if they sell 36 or more packages.

How does the free membership reward affect troop proceeds for the first 36 packages?

  • For the first 36 packages each Girl Scout sells, proceeds will be reduced by $0.85 per package. If the troop earns proceeds above $0.85 per package (for example, through the Early Bird or per girl average proceeds tiers), the troop will receive the difference on the first 36 packages. Once a Girl Scout sells package 37 and beyond, the troop will receive the full amount of the proceeds tier they’ve reached.
  • For troops that normally pay for membership renewals, Girl Scouts who earn their membership renewal through the cookie program will help the troop avoid the MY27 higher dues costs.
  • Troops with long-term fundraising goals for travel, community service, leadership projects, etc., may wish to discuss the option of troop dues with their families to support these efforts since membership dues would be covered.

Digital Cookie Storefronts for Girls toggle arrow

Empower girls to boost their cookie businesses by going digital! The Digital Cookie platform is a great tool to help girls expand their cookie businesses. With this platform, connecting with customers and processing orders is a breeze. Customers can easily purchase Girl Scout cookies online, with the option of having them delivered directly by the girls themselves or shipped to their homes. Plus, transactions are made easy with convenient, newly updated online payment options.

Encourage your troop to set up their Digital Cookie storefronts on January 7 - that's when the magic begins!

Credit Card Payments

Ready to deliver your cookies and looking for credit card payment options? Digital Cookie has the solution! Girls can accept credit card payments while delivering with the Digital Cookie app. If the order was placed in advance through Digitial Cookie, then the order was already paid for, and the cookies will need to be porch dropped.

Digital Cookie Storefronts for Troops toggle arrow

Digital Cookie makes connecting with customers from the comfort of home easier than ever this year, with updated features and technology designed to support girls and troops—no matter how they choose to participate in the Cookie Program.

New this year: Troops can set up and share their Troop Digital Cookie storefront starting January 7! For troop cookie managers, your troop storefront link will now match your cookie manager login for simpler access.

Troops can share their storefronts on social media, and troop links will also be featured in the National Cookie Finder, allowing local customers to purchase shipped or donated cookies and support their local troops directly!

Troops can offer the Girl Delivery option if volunteers or girls directly share the Troop Digital Cookie link.

Digital Cookie Volunteer Training Links Flyer

The Digital Cookie Troop Site makes it easy for your troop to accept digital customer orders and payments, no matter where they are located.

If you use your Troop Site to process credit card payments at cookie booths or to accept digital delivery orders, you’ll need to make Digital Cookie payments to ensure that Girl Scouts are credited for those sales.

Digital Cookie payments also help you ensure your sales records are accurate throughout the Girl Scout Cookie Season.

With Digital Cookie payments, you can:

  • Balance the sales and payment totals for your Troop Site
  • Make payments to specific booth sales for credit card purchases
  • Transfer payments to Girl Scouts for the cookie orders they deliver
Cookie Booths toggle arrow

Cookie Booths are a fun and important part of the Cookie Program! Girls learn communication, teamwork, and business skill, all while sharing their favorite cookies with the community.

Troop-Secured Booths

  • Troops can start connecting with local businesses on January 12.

  • Any business not already reserved by the council and listed in Smart Cookies can be a troop-secured location.

  • The Cookie Booth phase officially begins February 27.

Council-Secured Booths

  • Sign-ups take place on January 26, January 28, February 3, and February 5, all at 7:00 p.m..

  • Council booths open for sales starting March 3.

Tip: Booths are a great way for girls to practice real-world skills while having fun and selling cookies to the community!

To help manage your Cookie Booth inventory and sales, use this handy Cookie Booth Tracker Sheet at every booth!

Adult volunteers who are assisting at Cookie Booths, can help process payments at the booth if they have a Digital Cookie account already set up. The troop site link will need to be set up, but then those other adult volunteers will be able to use Digital Cookie to process payments.

Kroger Cookie Booths: Zero Hunger | Zero Waste

Troops setting up at a Kroger Cookie Booth should abide by the following guidelines:

  • Troops can have two adult volunteers and two to four girls at their table during their booth timeslot. Troops are not permitted to have more than four girls at your Kroger booth.
  • Please bring your own table(s) along with cookie inventory and your signage! The best signs are always the ones that the girls make!
  • Troops should set up outside the entrance doors without blocking the pathway or entrance. Outside set up also provides you with more visiblity! If the weather is inclement or unfavorable, troops can set up inside the lobby but should check in with the customer service desk to confirm before setting up indoors.

Bonus! Girls can get food smart with the new Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Patch from Kroger and Girl Scouts of Western Ohio! Girl Scouts can learn about the cycle of hunger and how it effects our communities, take powerful actions to reduce food waste, and make a difference to help end hunger in our community. Get ready to become an advocate for sustainability and make the world a better place!

Once girls have completed the activities, share their feedback to unlock your Zero Hunger | Zero Waste patch! After taking this brief survey, they'll receive an email for instructions to get their patch from our nearest Girl Scout Service Center.

Did you make a great memory or do something extraordinary with your troop while earning your patch? Share it using the hashtag #GetGrocerySmart on social media!

Wendy's Cookie Booths: Setup Instructions

Wendy's booths are great options, especially for younger troops looking for a fun booth that isn't as fast paced as busier locations. When hosting a booth at a Wendy's restaurant, please keep the following in mind:

  1. Upon arrival, troops should introduce themselves to the manager on duty and show any confirmation to reconfirm the timeframe of the booth.
  2. All customer access and pathways outside the restaurant must remain accessible and fully compliant with accessibility requirements. The clear width of all pathways must, in most instances, be a minimum of 3 feet wide, including, all walks and sidewalks, curb ramps and other interior or exterior pedestrian ramps, and floor pathways to/from the restaurant.
  3.  Troops may set up inside or outside, though outside on the patio is recommended for higher visability.
  4. If setting up insite, troops may use the available tables or bring your own into the dining room.
  5. Avoid setting up in areas that could block or limit building entrances, exits, or parking.
  6. Bring any signs and/or flags to direct traffic.

Troops can and are encouraged to share information about their Cookie Booth at a Wendy's location.

Cookie Stands toggle arrow

Host a Cookie Stand!

Girls can team up with their caregiver to run a Cookie Stand—just like a lemonade stand, but with Girl Scout Cookies! It’s a fun, simple way to build business skills and connect with neighbors.

Guidelines

  • Supervision: A caregiver must be present and is responsible for any cookies they sign out. No extra membership or background check is needed.

  • Timing: Cookie Stands must follow all booth timeframes and can’t begin before the official Cookie Booth season.

  • Who: One caregiver with up to two Girl Scouts from the same household.

  • Where: At a troop-secured location (not already listed as a council booth) or at the family’s residence.

  • Approval: Caregiver gets approval from the troop cookie manager (TCM). Troop-secured sites must be submitted in Smart Cookies for council approval; stands at a residence do not.

  • Scheduling: If a location is already booked or too close to another booth, the request may be denied. Try another date or time if needed.

  • Cookies & Funds: Caregiver signs out cookies from cookie manager and turns in funds promptly to the TCM.

  • Multiple Troops: If girls from different troops participate, each troop’s TCM handles their own inventory and funds. Sisters in different troops must keep sales tracked separately.

Remember: Follow all standard booth rules. timing, setup, location guidelines, and great cookie etiquette!

Cookie Rallies toggle arrow

A Cookie Rally is a fun event that “rallies” girls to kick off their Cookie Businesses, learn new skills, and is a great way for girls to connect with other Girl Scouts while learning and having a blast!

Planning a rally for your service unit?
Our councils can provide free rally supplies like the 2026 Cookie Rewards sample set and ABC cookies for girls to try.

  • Deadline: Complete the Cookie Rally Request Form by November 15, 2025.

  • Note: Supplies are limited and first-come, first-served and reserved for service unit rallies, not troop-only events.

Check with your service unit cookie coordinator for more details.

Digital Cookie

Ready to deliver your cookies and looking for contactless payment options? Digital Cookie has a solution! Girls can easily accept credit card payments while delivering through the Digital Cookie app. If the order was placed in advance through Digitial Cookie, then the order was already paid for, and the cookies will need to be porch dropped.

While our contract has ended with Clover Go, and this payment option will no longer be supported, troops can utilize Digital Cookie for credit card payments at booths. Troop cookie managers will see credits for those funds in Smart Cookies since those payments are deposited directly to the council.

The Marketing Resources page has everything you need to download or share socially to help spread the word!

Troop Financial Management toggle arrow

While managing your troop's Cookie Program can be conveniently handled through Smart Cookies, there are a few resources you may need to access outside of the cookie system to assist you with reconciling your finances for the program.

ACH

Finances will be handled through Automated Clearing House (ACH) withdrawals. Troops will only have to make deposits into their troop bank account, and the council will withdraw the balance due. In an increasingly paperless world, girls, families, and troops will be able to cut down on deposits, receipts, cash, and checks! Plus, this helps to keep things contact-free and safe for everyone!

The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Troop Bank Information Form is required for all troops to participate in the Product Programs. This form must be completed each membership year.

1 | Complete the Bank Information Form *
Have your troop bank account information handy; you’ll need your Routing and Account numbers!
*Every troop is required to complete the bank information form to participate in the cookie program. Not submitting this form will result in initial orders being withheld.

2 | Set up your Digital Cookie account!
All troop cookie managers who have completed the necessary steps will be added into Smart Cookies and Digital Cookie. Once added, you will receive registration links to create your account. Through the Digital Cookie mobile app, you will be able to accept credit card payments anywhere, anytime! The credit card processing functionality for in-hand cookie sales and booths will become available after cookie delivery happens in February.

Ready to go? Complete your Bank Information Form now!

Council will perform just one ACH (Automatic Clearing House) withdrawal this year at the end of the program.

  • April 16, 2026: Total balance due to council will be withdrawn

Financial Forms

In the unlikely event that you experience financial issues during your troop's Cookie Program, guidelines and forms are in place to assist you.

If you cannot collect funds owed from a caregiver, the council office will assist with attempts to reconcile those funds if the proper documentation is submitted. In this instance, an Unpaid Funds Collection Assistance Form must be completed along with uploads of receipts or any other corresponding paperwork. As long as the documentation is received, these funds will be removed from the balance owed by the troop to the council while the collection attempts continue.

During the season, should you accept a check that is later returned for insufficient funds, or should you accept a counterfeit bill unknowingly from a customer, please complete the Check Recovery Assistance Form along with any coordinating paperwork to receive reimbursement for the check/counterfeit bill and bank fees.  Reimbursement will be handled by deducting the amount and fees from the final balance owed to the council, if submitted before the end of the program.
