Product Program Managers

Troop cookie managers and fall product managers are the mainstays of the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Program.

As your troop's product program manager, your coordination efforts ensure that the program(s) go smoothly! These two programs not only help girls earn money for the goals they want to accomplish, but through the activities associated with each, girls learn entrepreneurial skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. And maybe even a badge or two!

Troop Cookie Manager

As troop cookie manager, you will manage troop cookie funds, gather permission forms, help girls set and achieve their goals, pick up the cookies from Cookie Cupboards and deliver them to the girls, and more!

Because this position is so involved, we’ve found that the most successful troops have a troop cookie manager who is not one of the troop leaders. Having a troop cookie manager handling the logistics of the program enables troop leaders to continue focusing on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with the girls!

You're a great fit if you're reliable, organized, able to communicate effectively to caregivers, and have basic math and computer skills.

How to Become the Troop Cookie Manager

Once you have registered with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and have an approved background check, you can begin the process of moving into the cookie manager role. The steps to make it official are easy!

  1. From your MyGS login, select the Troop Assistant - Cookie Manager role. If this role is not showing as available for your troop, give our Customer Care team a call and they can assist you further.
  2. Complete the Troop Product Program Manager Agreement Form. This is an important step as this agreement will grant you the access needed to the cookie site to properly manage your troop's program. You'll gain access once the site has opened up for the season.
  3. Connect with your service unit cookie coordinator! This is the dedicated volunteer in your area that will serve as your go-to for all things cookies! They can provide you with materials, extras, answers and assistance to help you navigate through the program with ease.

Troop Fall Product Manager

Much like the troop cookie manager, as the troop fall product manager you will handle managing the program for the fall nut and candy sale. Since the two programs do not happen at the same time, you can fill both roles if you'd like!

You're a great fit if you're reliable, organized, able to communicate effectively to caregivers, and have basic math and computer skills. The Fall Product Program is a quick program that can mostly be managed directly online, so being able to adhere to deadlines will be super important for this role.
