Renewal Assistance and FAQ
How to Renew
  • Sign into your MyGS account. In the Log In box, enter your email address and the password you set up when you created your account. If you do not remember your password, you can also click the “Forgot Password” and receive an email to create a new one.
  • Click on the “My Household” tab located on the left-hand side of the screen. 
  • Scroll down to the person you want to renew. Click on the box beside “Membership” and the box beside the troop/roles you want to rejoin. Do this for all the people in your household that are renewing. Click on “ADD Renewal” to take you to the confirmation page.  
  • Update information as needed then, choose the “Membership Year” you want, select the “Payment Type” from the options below. Note: Use our Digital Dough form to renew instead of submitting through MyGS. If you are using your free adult membership(s) from renewal or the Cookie Program, please use our Free Adult Renewal form to renew instead of submitting through MyGS.
  • Click on “Submit Member Details”, then click on “Review Cart.”
  • Make sure you click the box beside “I agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law” then “Add Payment Details.” 
  • If you choose Credit Card you will want to enter that information on the next page. If you choose Financial Aid that will process within 24 business hours.
  • You have now been renewed! Remember we are always here to help. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Customer Care at 888.350.5090 with any questions. 
Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact Customer Care team at 800.350.5090 or send us an email.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact Customer Care team 800.350.5090 or by email to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Our Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account. Call 800.350.5090 or send us an email.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact the Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact the Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.
  • Customer Care may be reached at 800.350.5090 or by email.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with your council to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.

Spring Renewal Incentives

Renew your membership today to be eligible for all of the incentives below! Renew by April 30 to receive them all.

April 30 | Double Digital Dough: Troops who renew at least 5 girls (3 girls for CSA troops) will receive Troop Digital Dough for two free events ($16) per renewed girl*!

May 13 | Paint Your World Purple: Girls who renew by May 13 can attend a virtual event with Girl Scout alum Kristen Bell, author of The World Needs More Purple People.

May 15 | Digital Dough: Troops who renew at least 5 girls (3 girls for CSA troops) will receive Troop Digital Dough for one free event ($8) per renewed girl*!

May 31 | More Cookie Program Proceeds: Troops who renew 5 girls and 2 troop leaders (3 girls and 2 troop leaders for CSA troops) by May 31 and sell 5 items in the Fall Product Program will receive an additional 5¢ per box of cookies sold in 2023!

May 31 | Early Bird Patch: Girls who renew by May 31 will receive the limited-edition Early Bird patch for 2022-2023!

May 31 | Two Free Adult Memberships: Volunteers are the real MVPs! As a thank you for your commitment to her success, every troop with at least 5 girls renewed (3 girls for CSA troops) can request two free volunteer memberships by May 31, 2022.

May 31 | Mystery Event Invitation: Girls who renew by May 31 will receive a special invite to upcoming mystery events!

*The average GSWO program is $8.

Financial Assistance

We are committed to offering financial assistance to any girl who needs it. When renewing her membership, simply select Financial Assistance and we'll cover her membership—no questions asked.

Or, if you'd like to support the renewal of a girl or volunteer whose family is experiencing financial challenges, you can make a gift.

Service Units

Hold a fun Service Unit event with easy Early Bird Renewal support, like a Kristen Bell watch party!

Service Units that hold a renewal event attended by at least 25 people or who reach their Early Bird Renewal goal will receive $50 toward future Service Unit program events.
