In this interactive workshop, girls will explore the differences between state and federal government, discover how executive leaders make important decisions, and learn how those decisions impact our everyday lives. Along the way, they'll meet local community leaders and hear firsthand about the roles people play in keeping our government and communities strong.
Girls will also have the unique opportunity to work with members of the League of Women Voters, an organization dedicated to encouraging informed and active participation in democracy. Through hands-on activities, engaging discussions, and opportunities to ask questions, participants will build a deeper understanding of civic engagement and the power of their voices.
As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, we'll explore what makes our system of government unique and why active citizens are essential to a healthy democracy. Best of all, girls who participate will earn their Future Voter patch and leave inspired to become informed, engaged leaders in their communities!
