Step into history and discover the power of courage and action in
this unique, hands-on experience. At the Cincinnati Museum Center,
girls will visit the "Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far
Away." exhibit, an immersive experience featuring more than 500
original artifacts that portrays the complex reality of the notorious
camp while sharing firsthand the stories from those who survived, and
those who perished. Through this powerful encounter with one of
history's darkest periods, participants will confront the realities of
hate and oppression while reflecting on the responsibility we all
share to prevent injustice.
Following the exhibit, girls will
engage in an interactive Upstander Workshop with the Nancy & David
Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, where they'll explore what it
means to stand up for what's right in today's world. Through
reflection, discussion, and guided activities, participants will
identify their personal strengths, learn from real-life examples of
courageous individuals, and leave empowered to discover meaningful
ways to take action in their communities.
This experience
empowers girls to move from witness to upstander, combining historical
awareness with the skills, confidence, and inspiration to make a
difference.
