Help her navigate the pathway to success.

Before a Girl Scout sails around the world or designs their own fashion line, she needs to believe they can do it.

Invest in our local Girl Scouts and make those dreams a reality. Then watch as she discovers new interests and chases her dreams—with the pride of knowing you helped make it possible.

An investment in Girl Scouts is an investment in shaping the next generation of leaders, making our community better, stronger, and brighter.

Your gift will be used to provide membership, financial assistance, uniforms, camp scholarships, and more to ensure every girl in every neighborhood has the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts. Every dollar you give stays right here in our community.

Donations for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio can be mailed to:

ATTN: Fund Development
4930 Cornell Road
Cincinnati, Ohio 45242

Your gift is deductible for federal income tax purposes, subject to IRS regulations. Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's Federal Tax is 31-0679091.

Support girls through Kroger Community Rewards.

Giving back through shopping couldn't be easier! Go ahead and pick up that extra gallon of milk, knowing that a portion of the sale supports building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of Western Ohio partners with Kroger to provide an easy way for you to support the council while you shop.

Shop using your Kroger Plus Card, and they’ll do the rest! Follow along with our step-by-step guide for directions to sign up.

Donor Advised Funds toggle arrow

Donor Advised Funds are the tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations. Donor Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio welcomes your generosity via Donor Advised Funds. Grants made to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio through Donor Advised Funds can be designated for use whenever the need is greatest or aligned with thematic areas that match your interest, such as girl assistance, campership, or STEM programs.

Please contact your financial advisor to make a grant from your Donor Advised Fund today. For reference, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's Federal Tax is 31-0679091.

Amazon Wish List

Make Girl Scout wishes come true! One of the easiest ways to support Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is to shop through our wish list on Amazon. Buy the supplies girls need for use at camp when earning badges, in troop meetings, and more from the convenience of home, and items will be shipped directly to our regional offices!

NOTE: When you are ready to check out, please type your name and address information in the "gift message" box to receive a thank you note and tax letter from headquarters. Thank you so much for your support of Girl Scouts of Western Ohio!

IRA Charitable Distribution toggle arrow

IRA Charitable Rollover or Qualified Charitable Distribution is a fantastic way to allow taxpayers 70 1/2 and older to make a tax-free contribution directly from your IRA to charities. Such gifts can be made without increasing your taxable income or withholding. Additionally, funds transferred will count toward your annual required minimum distribution (RMD).

Your gift will be used today, allowing you to see the difference your donation makes for girls.

Certain limitations apply to these non-taxable charitable distributions from an IRA:

  • You must be at least 70 1/2 years of age when the gift is transferred.
  • Total gifts cannot exceed $100,000 per year per IRA owner or beneficiary. (Legally married couples with separate IRAs could give up to $200,000 annually).
  • Gifts must be made directly from your IRA to a charity and cannot be made to a private foundation, a supporting organization, or a donor-advised fund.
  • The gifts must be outright. For instance, they cannot be used to establish a charitable gift annuity or fund a charitable remainder trust.

Checks directly from your IRA may be mailed to our Cincinnati Service Center:

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio
ATTN: Fund Development
4930 Cornell Road
Cincinnati, Ohio 45242

Legacy Gifts toggle arrow

You can create a legacy for future Girl Scouts in our community through a planned gift. There are many ways to contribute a planned gift to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, including a bequest in your estate, naming Girl Scouts of Western Ohio as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy, or a charitable remainder trust. Please consult your financial planner to start planning today.

Individuals who establish a planned gift in honor of Girl Scouts of Western Ohio are granted to the Juliette Gordon Low Society, regardless of the gift size.

Gifts from your retirement plan:

  • Reduce or eliminate taxes on retirement assets.
  • Reduce or avoid probate fees.
  • No cost to you to give now.

Remember us in your gifts from your insurance policy:

  • Make a gift using an asset that you and your family no longer need.
  • Receive an income tax deduction.
  • You can sometimes use the cash value in your policy to fund a life-income gift.

Remember us in your will:

  • It costs you nothing now to give this way.
  • Flexible: You can alter your gift or change your mind anytime and for any reason.
Stocks & Securities toggle arrow

One of the easiest ways to give to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, receive a charitable tax deduction, and avoid capital gains is to make a gift of stock. Giving by stock could qualify for a charitable income-tax deduction for the full fair market value, and you could avoid capital gains taxes on your gift. Please consult your financial or tax advisor for specific information.

How it works:

If you are interested in initiating a stock gift, please complete the form below, and a member of the Fund Development team will follow up with you and your financial advisor to process the gift.

Please complete the form below to contribute stock to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
Multiply Your Impact toggle arrow

Double or triple your impact with a company match!

Many employers sponsor programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from employees' spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match. Your company may even offer donations in recognition of your hours spent volunteering with GSWO.

Ohio Girl Scout License Plates

Girl Scout license plates are now available in the state of Ohio! Thanks to the efforts of Troop 1275 from Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland — who worked with their local House of Representatives member, testified in front of the Ohio House Transportation Committee, and collaborated with other Girl Scout councils across the state — you can share the impact of the Girl Scout mission by displaying it on your vehicle!

$15 from every license plate purchased will come back to your local Girl Scout council to directly support girls in your community. Purchase yours today by visiting the Ohio BMV website and selecting "Organizational Plates."
