Trailblazers

This is a brand new group and the website may update frequently as we get more questions, so check back periodically for more information!

Last Updated: October 25, 2019

Trailblazers is an action-packed group for Girl Scouts in grades 6 - 12! Designed to supplement the troop experience, Trailblazers gives girls the opportunity to meet new friends and have exciting outdoor experiences they may not have the opportunity to do with their troop.

Trailblazers will go:

  • Rock climbing
  • Caving
  • Kayaking
  • Backpacking
  • Traveling
  • Hiking
  • and more!

Trailblazers may be active in regular Girl Scout troops, but individually registered girls can also participate in this program! As a group, the girls brainstorm, research, and vote on several high adventure trips each year. Trips and activities take place on weekends, school breaks, and summer months, and camp-outs.

As Trailblazer events are planned, they will be posted here for information and registration. Girls in grades 6-12 can join Trailblazers whether they're in a troop or individually registered!

Girls can fundraise via the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Program as Trailblazers. If you are a Juliette or your troop is not participating in either program, contact your regional Product Program Manager to get started!

Adult Coordinators Needed!

Adult volunteers serve as mentors to Trailblazers by scheduling, coordinating, and running the girls’ events. Training is provided and may include teambuilding, get-acquainted activities, event training, group trip training, water program activities, and fun stuff like geocaching!

We are looking for 10 volunteers with a wide range of outdoor experience, from backpacking, canoeing, and climbing to help us grow our first year. If interested apply by December 1!
